High Holy Day 5786 Registration

What is our communal as well as individual work of teshuvah (return, repair, restoration) during these perilous times?

We will build on last year's theme: what it means to be part of the evolving religious civilization of the Jewish people, and what our communal purpose is in light of everything that has occurred across the world in the last year.

The year has also brought each of us personal discoveries and losses, breakthroughs and disappointments, moments of meaningful connections and loneliness.

Our traditions remind us that we are not alone amidst the uncertainties and possibilities--that we are part of a sacred community, and a global movement.

The Yamim Noraim, Days of Awe, ask us to face the truth of our circumstances, strengthen the communal bonds to live in solidarity with all beings, and commit to the people we aspire to be.

We depend on volunteers to make all of our services and programming happen. If you would like to help us in any capacity, we would greatly appreciate it. Please click here for descriptions of all volunteer roles. You can sign up for all volunteer opportunities here.

We have an open door policy which never requires a fee to join any of our services. High Holy Day contributions are a vital source of support for everything we do at Mishkan Shalom. Please consider a donation to this sacred community.

Please remember that we depend upon all Mishkan Shalom members to volunteer in some capacity throughout the High Holy Day season. Please click here for descriptions of all volunteer roles. You can sign up for all volunteer opportunities here.

Please note that parking at Mishkan is limited. Folks can always drop off/pick up in the lower lot and find street parking elsewhere. There will be a limited number of spots open at the Roxborough Memorial Hospital as well. We strongly encourage carpooling and arriving early to give yourself ample time to park prior to services. We have an extremely limited number of handicapped parking spaces available. Please contact Daniel if you need one of them.
