This course, taught by Rabbinic Intern Sai Koros, is the first of the 8-part series, a collaboration between Mishkan Shalom and Rodeph Shalom.
This session will be offered on Wednesday, November 5 from 7-8pm at Mishkan Shalom (4101 Freeland Avenue) and on Zoom. Come by at 6:30pm for community dinner!
Join Rabbinic Intern Sai Koros in their monthly study group to discuss the Torah through a queer lens in this partnership between Mishkan Shalom and Rodeph Shalom. Each month, we will look at the weekly parshah (portion) and grapple with queer themes found within. We will switch off monthly sessions at each congregation with a community dinner followed by the discussion.
On November 5, we will study Parshat Vayera (Genesis 18:1-22:24) by exploring Sarah and Abraham as gender nonconforming ancestors. Content Warning: Infertility
The deadline to register for this class is Wednesday, October 29 (one week before the class begins).
