"At seven weeks of age, St. Miriam is the little denomination's newest parish. It operates out of Congregation Mishkan Shalom's stone
synagogue on Freeland Avenue, where St. George celebrates Roman rite Masses on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings."

Seated in the congregation were ICBG members Frank Hollick and Dale Mezzacappa, members of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, and Peter Handler and Carol Towarnicky, members of Mishkan Shalom Synagogue, who returned to New Orleans to take part in Sunday's celebration.

In its June electronic newsletter, the Federal Environmental Protection's Agency Energy Star program highlighted the efforts of Congregation Mishkan Shalom, a Reconstructionist synagogue in Roxborough, to reduce its energy costs and cut back on carbon-dioxide emissions.
