#27 Bus to Manayunk Avenue and Shurs Lane; walk uphill (about .2 mi.) on
Shurs Lane to Freeland Avenue; turn left onto Freeland Avenue.

By Car:
From Center City (Philadelphia):
Kelly Drive West past the Falls Bridge; after the Falls Bridge (Kelly Drive
at Calumet Street) yield onto Ridge Avenue, going forward (about .1 mile)
to a fork; from the left lane bear left onto Main Street. Continue (.6 mile)
on Main Street to right at traffic light onto Shurs Lane; uphill (.4 mile)
on Shurs to Freeland Avenue; turn left onto Freeland.
From Germantown, Mount Airy, or Chestnut Hill:
Take Wayne Avenue or Wissahickon Avenue (not Lincoln Drive: no through connection)
to Walnut Lane. Follow Walnut Lane through Fairmount Park, across Henry Avenue
to Ridge Avenue (a total of 1.6 mile from Wayne to Ridge, or a total of 1.2
mile from Wissahickon to Ridge). When Walnut Lane crosses Ridge Avenue it
becomes Shurs Lane; downhill (.1 mile) on Shurs Lane to Freeland Avenue;
turn right on Freeland.
From the Western Suburbs (US Route 1 / City Line Avenue):
Go north on City Avenue / Route 1; cross City Avenue Bridge over Schuylkill
River. Exit for Ridge Avenue West. Yield onto Ridge Avenue, going forward
(about .1 mile) to a fork; from the left lane bear left onto Main Street.
Continue (.6 mile) on Main Street to right at traffic light onto Shurs Lane;
uphill (.4 mile) on Shurs to Freeland Avenue; turn left onto Freeland.
From Northeast Philadelphia (via Roosevelt Blvd.):
Go south on Roosevelt Boulevard / Route 1; just before Schuylkill River Bridge
follow signs for Ridge Avenue West. Turn right from ramp onto Ridge Avenue.
After traffic light at Calumet Street go forward (.2 mile) to a fork; from
the left lane bear left onto Main Street. Continue (.6 mile) on Main Street
to right at traffic light onto Shurs Lane; uphill (.4 mile) on Shurs to Freeland
Avenue; turn left onto Freeland.
From the east ( I-95 or Benjamin Franklin Bridge, or New Jersey):
Take I-676 West (Vine Street Expressway) to I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway).
Exit at Lincoln Drive/Kelley Drive (Exit #340A). Follow signs for Ridge Avenue
West. Yield onto Ridge Avenue, going forward ( about .1 mile) to a fork;
from the left lane bear left onto Main Street. Continue (.6 mile) on Main
Street to right at traffic light onto Shurs Lane; uphill (.4 mile) on Shurs
to Freeland Avenue; turn left onto Freeland.
From the west or north:
PA Turnpike: Exit at Route I-476 South (Mid-County Expressway, aka the Blue
Route); take I-476 to exit 6, Route I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) East. Take
I-76 East to Belmont Avenue exit. Turn left at traffic light from expressway
ramp onto Belmont Avenue Bridge, cross Schuylkill River. At first traffic
light turn right onto Main Street, passing under train bridge. Follow Main
Street (1 mile) to left turn at traffic light onto Shurs Lane. Go uphill
(.4 mile) on Shurs Lane to Freeland Avenue, turn left onto Freeland.
From the north (northern and mid-New Jersey, Bucks County) or east (Center
City Philadelphia, New Jersey) I-95 or Benjamin Franklin Bridge:
Take I-676 West (Vine Street Expressway) to I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway).
Exit for Ridge Avenue West. Yield onto Ridge Avenue, going forward ( about
.1 mile) to a fork; from the left lane bear left onto Main Street. Continue
(.6 mile) on Main Street to right at traffic light onto Shurs Lane; uphill
(.4 mile) on Shurs to Freeland Avenue; turn left onto Freeland.
From the south (Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC via I-95):
Take I-476 North (Blue Route) to exit 6A, to Route I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway)
East. Take I-76 East to Belmont Avenue exit. Turn left at traffic light from
expressway ramp onto Belmont Avenue Bridge, cross Schuylkill River (street
becomes Green Lane and goes steeply uphill). At first traffic light turn
right onto Main Street, passing under train bridge. Follow Main Street (1
mile) to left turn at traffic light onto Shurs Lane. Go uphill (.4 mile)
on Shurs Lane to Freeland Avenue, turn left onto Freeland.
